The Birthday Disaster By Susan Devereux
This story is set at home and a tornado appears and trees are falling down all around the family.
The characters are Tolly who's real name is Ottoline. Tolly is smart but a bit afarid of things . Biz who's real name is Isadora .Biz is afraid of nothing . Mum and Dad are both looking for jobs but none are aavailable.
The events in this story are- its Tollys birthday and a tornado appears . Tolly who had longed for a dog was wondering if she would get one . Tolly is turning 11 but looks like she is 13 .
The problem was........ a giant tornado came out of nowhere and trees are starting to fall all around Tolly ,Biz and Mum. Glass has been shatterd and broken there. Tolly and Biz lay on the ground with glass . Tolly has cut her hands from the glass . Biz is on the floor when mum comes in. Tolly thought about her father and where he was . Soon Tolly found her dads car on its side smashed by a tree . Thankfullydad abanoned the car and found shelter .
The conclusion was ...... the tornado had stopped and they were able to return home and Tolly did get a puppy so she was thrilled and called her puppy .....................................Tornado how cool.
I liked the book because it was inteersting to me and enjoyable to read. It felt like I was in the story.

Book Report 18/3/11
The Flying Fat Lady Keith Falconer
This story was set in a small village with the marvellous moonlight shining over the Big Top Circus tent.There are lots of animals and caravans outside the tent filled with circus characters.
The characters in this story are: A girl called Lily, her dad, her grandma, the Fat Lady, Salome Ooze, Simon Ooze and all the circus acts ( including the animals).
The main events were: Salome fights over the center spotlight for being a trapeze artist while sealing The Fat Lady's act.
The problems were: Lily's grandma wasn't wearing her lucky headband when she fell off the trapeze and died. Salome Ooze takes over the trapeze act from the Fat Lady.
The conclusion is: the Fat Lady becomes a trapeze artist while wearing the magical headband and becomes skinny again and all her weight goes to Salome Ooze.
I liked this book because it is interesting and funny. It's funny because they keep fighting with each other.

Sigmond Slitherforth by Hayley Macduff
I have just finished a book called Simond Slitherforth. it's a crazy, cool book with a snail who has a dream to become as fast as a speedy car zooming at 200 k/m a hour.
Every day he slithers away outside without telling his Mum or Dad. When he races out of the house he always tries to race with cars, but fails. He once overtook a slug but that wasn't much of an
achievment.
Finally he comes back home exausted from all the racing and expects a growling from his Mum or Dad.
But this time it wasn't any ordinary growling he actually got abandoned from his home!
The following day Sigmond wondered off sympathetically searching for a place to stay. A few moments later.... Sigmond eyes watered delightfully as he saw his place, he was just dying to see inside?
As he entered the teeny, tiny shed he met a slater. Sigmond badly needed help so he asked the slater if he can can help him? The slater thought and he had a solution!
He showed Sigmond some four star motor oil for cars? One dive in this and Sigmond would travel at double the speed of sound! Sigmond bombed into the oil with excitement seconds later.... Sigmond jumed out like a cheerful, cheetah.WHOOO! He screamed! Then he zoomed off with a flash!
He then slithered to his old home and wrote goodbye Mum and Dad, I told you I could do it! On the hedge. The following day he got a job at NASA! They really needed a snail like him and then he flew off in a fancy space shuttle. Then not far from Mars he wrote one more thing. Love You, to all the other snails and goodbye once more.

Being Bad for the Babysitter by Richard Tulloch.
This story is set at home and there is barely anything in the house.
The characters are Jane,Mother and Marilyn.
Jane has black, fuzzy hair and makes up lies.
Janes Mother has black, straight hair and likes movies.
Marilyn is a baby sitter, she wears glasses and reads big books and has short black straight hair.
Jane hates being looked after by babysitters .She does not like being looked after by babysitters she likes being with her mum and going out to movies and everything.
She was being naughty to the babysitter and was teasing her and was being really mean. She made the babysitter do dangerous things like going up onto the roof and then the babysitter couldn't get down. The babysitter forgave her and got her to read a book with her, it was a scary book and she loved it.
ThenJane becomes nice to Marilyn and wants her to come back very soon.
This book was really awesome because it was interesting.

Book Report 17.3.11

This story is set in several different schools.The main characters are Catherine Carter her mum and her teacher Mr Johnson. Catherine is clumsy and kind.
Somtimes Catherine is a little to clumsy and when her mum arrives she shouts Catherine Constanse Clementine Claudia Carter and it spreads until the whole school knows about it!
In the end she finds out that her teacher has a really long name which is Jonathan Jeremy James Josiah Johnson and her mum promises not to call her by her full name again.
I really enjoyed this book and I think anyone can read
it.

The underground cave was dark and creepy with stalagmites and stalactites.The camp site had old trees and burnt ash on the floor.
Louisa Mackenzie has brown hair,is eleven years old and is very intrested in insects. Declan Mackenzie has blond hair and is ten years old. Marcus has brown hair and is ten years old.
Marcus falls into a ditch ,Lousia,Declan and dad pull him out. Marcus goes missing in an under ground cave so Louisa and Declan go and find him.
Marcus goes missing in an underground cave so Louisa and Declan offer to look for him.
Louisa and Declam find Marcus and go back to dad.
Yes, it was very exciting and interesting.

Today the clouds look like mushy, magnificent, marshmallows. The blue, clear, pool- water sky is amazing. The tall trees are as still as a killer- chasing cat trying to eat a mouse.

Today the cool, crazy, crystalline sky is helping the bright sight of the gleaming, glowing sun. It is shining like a gigantic solar flare which is heating up the Earth.

The dazzling, bright, blue sky glistens greatly in the shining sun. It is nearly cloudless in the sky that looks like the cool, calm, cosy ocean. There is a cool inviting breeze running through my brown silky hair.

Today the weather forecast is blue with a chance of white, wondery clouds. The fabulous, fantastic flag is not flying too much. The terrific trees are trying to reflect the light as the sun is too bright. The sun is getting more powerful every day. It hasn't rained in a week! Hope it does!

Today the crystal, clear, aquamarine sky can be compared to the frosty freezing pool. I can only see one slim, thin cloud in the bright,blue sky. It look's like a dangerous dragon blowing out an enormous flaming heatwave.

Today the extraordinary hot sun is failing to wrap it's warmth around earth. The cool Autumn breeze is a clear sign that summer is nearly over. So, I just hope that the giant sun will give us a big blast of heat later today.
